Collaboration with Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and Belarus

In Administration of Smolensk region was held a working meeting of Michael Kurkov - the first Deputy of the Governor and Segey Katyrin - President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. 

 Michael Kurkov noted all importance of collaboration between regional authorities and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Nowadays local authorities are intending to conduct with Smolensk Chamber of Commerce and Industry a whole number of joint socio-economic presentations of potential of Smolensk region   in different regions of the Russian Federation.

Sergey Katyrin appointed by his side that Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation is ready to give its support to Administration of the region and help by organization of presentation of Smolensk region in Moscow and in 18 foreign countries.

Parties also discussed questions of practical realization of combined Russian and Belorussian investment projects concerning development of road infrastructure and building of logistic centers.

Than in conference hall of Smolensk Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place working sitting of leaders of Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Central Federal District of Russia and Assosiation of CCI of the Dnieper region. Michael Kurkov, Sergey Katyrin President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Michael Myatlikov – Head of Belorussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vladimir Arkhipenkov – President of Smolensk CCI and other invited persons.

Participants of sitting discussed in detail a question of entry of Russia into the World Trade Organisation. Sergey Vasilyev – Director of external economic collaboration Department of CCI RF delivered his report about importance of Chambers of Commerce and Industries in connection with entry of Russia into the World Trade Organisation. During the sitting were also discussed problems of regional CCIs working under conditions of Common Free Market Zone and question of building of exhibition centers.
