Problems of Smolensk region's competitiveness will be discussed in international format

In Smolensk subsidiary of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration of the Russian Federation is held international theoretical and practical conference «Competitiveness of the region: mechanisms of formation in the modern context».

At the plenary sitting were present Olga Okuneva -  Chief federal controller in Smolensk region, Anantoly Mishnev – Chairman of Smolensk regional Duma, Alexander Logutov – Director of Smolensk subsidiary of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration of the Russian Federation, officials of government authorities.

Olga Okuneva noted in her opening speech all importance of development of the region and its competitiveness. «Smolensk is a complicated region. It has territorial attractiveness and very fortunate geographic location but do not have any extractable resources. And that is why it is very important to use all forms of development. Tourism makes Smolensk region very attractive for investors in case of infrastructure development. It is also necessary to form system of Small and Medium Practices around big enterprises», - summarized Chief federal controller.

During international theoretical and practical conference will be discussed mechanisms of supporting and development of Small and Medium Practices, social and sectoral special feature by forming of competitiveness of the region, urgent problems of public image of Smolensk region. In discussion will participate representatives from the Republic of Belarus and Serbia. Resolution will contain suggestion from Baltic states, Germany, Poland.
