Another race was held at the famous race track “Uvarovo” in Krasninsky district; it was dedicated to the warriors who fought in the 1812 Patriotic war. The racers came from different areas of Russia and the Republic of Belarus.

The Uvarovo race track, the experts say, is one of the most challenging in its kind, which makes the races held here a thrilling attraction for numerous motorsport fans. Annual races have been held here since 1986, and the memorial race dedicated to 1812 events is taking place for the 21st time.

Another race was held at the famous race track “Uvarovo” in Krasninsky district; it was dedicated to the warriors who fought in the 1812 Patriotic war. The racers came from different areas of Russia and the Republic of Belarus.

The Uvarovo race track, the experts say, is one of the most challenging in its kind, which makes the races held here a thrilling attraction for numerous motorsport fans. Annual races have been held here since 1986, and the memorial race dedicated to 1812 events is taking place for the 21st time.

Deputy Governor Nikolay Kuznetsov made a speech at the formal opening ceremony on July 8. Concluding the official race opening event, a wreath was laid to the Patriotic war heroes memorial. Afterthat, the final race heats started.  The competition between specially tuned cars in several classes turned out really exciting. 44 racers from Smolensk, Voronezh, Rzhev, Orel, Yoshkar-Ola, Moscow region, Kursk, Nizhny Tagil, Arzanas and Labinsk took part in the competition.

At the end, the winners were: Konstantin Novoselov (Yoshkar-Ola, class D2N), Denis Byakov (Nizhny Tagil, class D3/4), Maxim Levenkov (Smolensk region, class D3-sprint), Nikita Kompaniets (Smolensk region, class D3-junior), Sergey Linev (Smolensk region, class D2-junior).
