Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy participated in the solemn ceremony of opening of Live Sites Olympic ground. It is screen that gives an opportunity for natives and guests of our city to watch live transmissions of sports from Olympic London.
Live Sites grounds are placed only in 16 cities of Russia. All Olympic events will be transmitted during the period from the 28 –th of July to the 12 –th of August. Sportsman presenting this year our region will compete in fencing, cycle racing, track and field athletics. City-folk will have a perfect opportunity to follow sports events during the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 thanks to agreement between Organizing Committee «Sochi 2014» and Administration of Smolensk region.
