International volunteer group helps in social adaptation of foster children in rehabilitation center «Vishenky»

In Smolensk was opened the third International volunteer camp «Nadezhda», in the scope of this camp volunteers from different countries help children in their social adaptation and liberalizing. The children are situated in rehabilitation centre «Vishenky» for children with disabilities.

In summer session that is held from the 6-th till 19-th of August participate youths from eight countries. Together with Russians there are volunteers from Belorussia, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland and Turkey.

International volunteer camp based in rehabilitation center «Vishenky » was organized in 2010 with the assistance of Department of Smolensk region for social development and Administration of international relations of Administrative office of Smolensk region. During previous two summer sessions in rehabilitation center worked volunteers from Germany, Poland, Finland, Portugal, Spain,  France, Italy, Canada, England, Turkey, Denmark and Russia.

Program of summer session 2012 includes such events as ecological action «Grove of health», leisure events with children, excursions through historical and cultural places of Smolensk, panel discussions.

Olga Vasilyeva – Deputy of Governor participated in the solemn ceremony of camp opening that was held on the 8 – th of August «We gathered hire to communicate, to maintain eye contact,   tell about our problems, share our experience. Every question can deal with the matters and listen each other. The most important think for people is comprehension that can be found only in process of communication. Good, love and mutual understanding know no borders», - accentuated Olga Vasilyeva. Name of camp says that «in our further live all our hopes will realize». Olga Vasilyeva expressed confidence that working process in volunteer camp helps bring together young people and achieve common advances.

Andrey Grin' Executive secretary ofinter-agency coordination council for volunteer development accentuated during ceremony of session opening all significance of working of volunteer camp «Nadezhda». He expressed appreciation to all organizers for supporting of children that are in difficult real-life situations.
