Aleksey Ostrovskiy met with regional Internet-community

Aleksey Ostrovskiy met in cultural and leisure center «Gubernskiy» with representatives of Smolensk Internet-community. To this meeting were invited more than hundred participants among them were well-known bloggers, active users of social network services and Internet forums and also creators of sites devoted to regional center and Smolensk.

On meeting were discussed questions of preparation to celebration of the 1150-th anniversary of Smolensk. Participants were especially interested in questions of organizing of cultural events that will take place on celebration Days. Aleksey Ostrovskiy made a statement that by his order will create collegiate authority for preparation to celebration events that will include public representatives.

Also were discussed questions of human resources management, development of agricultural industry, investment generation. Governor noted that he is ready to collaborate with all associations and groups that are aimed at regional development: «I am already working and will work with all fractions, groups without distinction, which wish development of the region. I will not allow any person to work to the prejudice of the region. All must work on equal terms without preferences, without right to monopoly and without law violation».

Saying about regional development noted the Governor that it completely depends from increase of revenue side of the budget that can be increased only in case of economic growth, attraction of additional financial resources, building of new enterprises and foundation of agro-industrial sectors. One of the main goals of Administration is creation of comfortable working conditions for investors in our region. They will get plots of land free of charge, tax remissions and we will provide them with linking up to power grids. At the same time there is a problem with work forces on territory of Smolensk region and especially in rural localities.  And this problem must be solved by Administration of Smolensk region.

Communication of Aleksey Ostrovskiy with representatives of Internet-community continued more than two hours. Governor made a statement that such kind of meetings will take place on continuing basis.
