Anniversary film festival «Golden Phoenix» opened in Smolensk

The fifth All-Russian film festival of actors and producers «Golden Phoenix» opened on Sunday, the 2-nd of September with red-carpet event of Russian theater and cinema stars.

Vsevolod Shilovskiy, People's Artiste of Russia, President of festival welcomed all guest and held the opening ceremony with his granddaughter Agalaya Shilovskaya. In red-carpet event participated People's Artistes of Russia Vladimir Menshov, the Head of jury of festival, Vera Alentova, Svetlana Druzhynina, Stanislav Govorukhin, Andrey Smirnov, Emmanuil Vitorgan, Honored Artist of Russia Andrew Panin and Galina Yatskina, writer Ilia Iliin, Executive Director of Guild of movie directors of Russia – Igor Stepanov and others guests. The present film festival was devoted to the 200-th anniversary of the victory in Patriotic War 1812.

Concept of complimentary tickets issue was this year principally changed noted Aleksey Ostrovskiy. Officials and deputies of different levels got minimal quantity of tickets. Invitation cards were issued this year free through ticket offices of cinema theatres «Sovremennik» and «Russia Premier». The Head of the region announced such practice will be used also by conducting of others cultural events.  

Natives of Smolensk got perfect opportunity to meet famous actors in the scope of festival to visit their workshops and evenings with actors. As and years before film shows took place not only in Smolensk but also in districts of Smolensk region. In Smolensk art gallery worked Stanislav Govorukhin's personal exhibition of painting and graphic arts.

The first film show of anniversary festival became film «Kokoko» producer Avdotiya Smirnova. Then took place the solemn ceremony of opening of Vladimir Menshov's personalized star.
