Meeting with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

Today on the 13-th of September was held meeting of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev with Governor Aleksey Ostrovskiy.

The Head of the region commented its results: «Today during the meeting with Prime Minister in Parliament building I reported about current socio-economic situation in the region and asked for supporting in some principal questions. Key aspect of the meeting became request for supporting of Smolensk region in building of the second extension of Smolensk atomic power station and in building of oil-processing plant on territory of our region.

The very important topic became problem of supplying with gas of Smolensk region. I reported to Dmitry Anatolievich that the region is unfortunately supplied with gas only for 52 percent and asked for supporting in this process at least for two districts – Velizh and Ugra.

Also were discussed problems of preparation to celebration of the city anniversary. I asked in name of natives of Smolensk for supporting in completion of anniversary objects construction.

Concerning all form of addresses charged Prime Minister with tasks all applicable ministry and agencies and public corporations for the purpose to study and if it is possible to realize indicated requests».
