Days of Small and Medium Business are taking place in the region

The work of the V International Forum "Days of small and medium-sized businesses of Smolensk region" began from traditional exhibition of products and services of representatives of Smolensk business that gathered more than 70 enterprises. The Forum is only in Russia regular regional forum of such kind. Delegations from Germany, Poland, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, different regions of Russia and all districts of the Smolensk region presented their products at the exhibition, as well as they shared experience of the establishment and operation of small and medium business and discussed the prospects of further development of the sector.

Currently, in the Smolensk region registered and operate more than 39,500 small and medium enterprises. This sector employs over 112,500 people, accounting for 35.5 percent of the average number of employees in all enterprises of the region. Taking into account such an economic and social importance of small and medium business, four years ago, decided the Administration of Smolensk region and the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry to organize a discussion platform that will promote the expansion of international relations of business communities in the region. It is noteworthy to say that there is an increase of number of participants and guests of the Forum, last year the event was attended by 4.5 thousand people. This year expected about 6000 persons.

Head of Department of the Embassy of Belarus in the Russian Federation in Smolensk Nicholas Kutsko also addressed to participants and guests of the Forum. Particular attention in his speech he drew on the cooperation of Smolensk and Belarusian business emphasizing that in the region created more than 300 joint ventures also jointlarge-scale projects implementing.

Governor Lodz Province of Poland Jolanta Helminska shared with her vision of all the importance of Forum in her address to audiences.

It should be noted that the Forum will work during two days and in addition to the exhibition of goods will be held master classes for young entrepreneurs with participation of Russian and foreign business coaches, "roundtable discussions", meetings of Smolensk and foreign businessmen, the presentation of the Russian and international companies.
