Solemn events devoted to the 200-th anniversary of Russia's victory in the Patriotic War 1812 are completing in Smolensk region

Solemn events devoted to the 200-th anniversary of Russia's victory in the Patriotic War 1812 came to the end on territory of our region and in the country as a whole. On the field nearby the settlement Krasniy about the restored monument to the heroes of the Patriotic War 1812 took place a military historical reconstruction of Krasninskiy battle.

Festival reconstruction devoted to episodes of battle nearby Krasniy in November the 15-18-th of 1812, was organized by the Fund "Reconciliation" by the support of the Administration of Smolensk region. The event was attended by clubs from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk region and Belarus. The event was visited  by representatives of Administrations of Smolensk region and Smolensk city, Kardymovo and Krasny district, President of the Fund "Reconciliation" Igor Jasinski, Coordinator of the board of trustees of the Fund Vladimir Shargay, Director of the Museum "Doronino" at the State Borodino War and History Museum-Reserve Vladimir Petrov.

Deputy of Governor Olga Vasilyeva greeted audience: "We should be proud of the events of those years to remember them and to talk to other generations. At this place shaped the future not only of Russia but also of other countries. Then all the people rose up in defense of the Fatherland. And now, just for such instances should be brought up love for the country".

On the same day in Kardymovo district nearby Lubino memory field was held re-burial and funeral of 20 Russian soldiers and the French artillery sergeant who died in the Battle nearby Lubino on the 7-th of August 1812. Among the Russian soldiers Hussars reconnaissance, combat engineer and eighteen Marines were likely owned by a detachment of General Tuchkov. They first came to grips with the case of Marshal Ney.
