Anniversary of registry authorities

The solemn meeting devoted to the 95-th anniversary of civil registry offices took place on the 18-th of December at the Great Hall of regional Administration.

At the celebration, organized by the Head Office of Civil Registration of Smolensk region showed the film, spoke about the work of the registry office, Heads of which had repeatedly mentioned that they were really happy when they could fulfill the requests of people. In Smolensk region are placed 31 Registry Offices, each year they recorded more than forty thousand civil. In addition, civil registry offices often play the role of cultural and educational centers, accumulating national ceremonies and traditions.

Governor Aleksey Ostrovskiy addressed audience with congratulatory words on video screen, "Your work can be called service - service to the state and to people. I congratulate you on behalf of Administration, I wish all the best and all that you always wish the happy people who come to you to register their relationships. Happy holiday!"

Olga Vasilyeva, Nickolas Kuznetsov and Peter Lopashinov came to congratulate anniversaries. The best workers of civil registry offices (CRO) received Diplomas of Administration of Smolensk region and letters of thanks of Governor.

"You are doing not only a very important state task, - said Olga Vasilyeva. – You are working, most importantly, for our people. It is for our honeymoon, for moms, dads, children who are born. Suppose you do not go out a spark of love for people, even if your job brings you joy, and in your life you will succeed!"

The history of the modern system of registry office dates back to the 18-th of December 1917, when the Central Executive Committee and Sovnarkom of the RSFSR issued a decree "On the civil marriage, children and books about doing acts of civil status". From that day, the registration of births, marriages and deaths in Soviet Russia was removed from the spiritual department; implement it in the register with the XVIII century. Civil registry offices did not cease operation even in the most difficult circumstances, including the war years.

The system registry offices of the Smolensk region presented the Directorate registrar and 27 registry offices that are part of the structure of local government and providing state registration of acts of civil status in municipal areas and urban counties area. In system of regional registry offices are working 116 people.
