Bicentennial Anniversary of the Russian victory in the Patriotic War of 1812

In Smolensk region completed activities on Russia's victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.

On the 20-th of December in the regional Square of heroes took place the grand opening of a memorial plaque to General Adam Balla, the hero of Patriotic War.

General died in the defense of Smolensk. Board devoted to General has taken its place among the commemorative plaques installed in the Square thanks to the joint efforts of the local authorities, the regional branch of the Union of Russia and a group of local lore initiative citizens.

The photo exhibition of Andrew Lobanov was opened in the scope of exposition "Two Eagles" in the Historical Museum on Lenin Street.

In photos were shown historical reconstructions that took place on Lubino and Borodino fields.

The exhibition was visited by Nickolas Kuznetsov – Deputy of Governor, Oleg Ivanov – Head of Kardymovo district of Smolensk region, Vladimir Shargay and Igor Jasinskiy – managers of fund 'Reconciliation'.
