A modern sports complex appeared in Kholm-Zhirkovsky

Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy, Director General of "Gazprom Transgaz St. Petersburg" Ltd. Georgy Fokin took part in the opening ceremony of the sports complex "Lider" which was held in Kholm-Zhirkovsky.

Before the beginning of the ceremony Alexey Ostrovskiy looked around the complex.

It has a multi-purpose gym with the 40 x 20 meters playing field. 40 people can practice in this gym at the same time. It is designed for practicing such sports as indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis and badminton.

The sports complex has a number of health facilities such as a massage room, sauna, swimming pool, recreation rooms. There is a work-out room and aerobics room on the first floor "Today I am in a festive mood. Just like most of you are. - shared his impressions of the opening ceremony Alexey Ostrovskiy. – Thanks to the "Gazprom Transgaz St. Petersburg" company we have an opportunity to open in Kholm-Zhirkovsky district one of the best gyms in our region so that not only people living in this municipality, but people from the whole Smolensk region could come here to participate in regional competitions ".

The head of the region also noted that now the district and regional management will have to take substantial efforts to have other social facilities constructed at the same level of quality as this sports complex.
