The presentation of the industry resource center

In the Smolensk Industrial and Economic College there was a presentation of the industry resource center for training specialists in the field of mechanical and instrument engineering, aerospace productions using nanotechnology.

Head of the Education, Science and Youth Department Ludmila Ivanichenko, First Deputy Head of the State Employment Service Vladimir Polonikov, representatives of the Smolensk business community, educational institutions and other guests looked into the work of the center.

Those who were interested could take part in the workshops organized in the unique technical laboratories of the industry center.

The laboratories are equipped with the most advanced equipment and can satisfy the need of the Smolensk region for professional staff experienced in using modern production technologies. It should be noted that the laboratories have on-site branches at the major industrial companies of the Smolensk region such as "Analitpribor", "Izmeritel" and others.

The presentation participants agreed that the work of such a modern resource center in one of the leading educational institutions of the region will stimulate not only the preparation process of highly qualified professionals for the industry sector but also the overall level of professional education in the region.

The new center can be used for training specialists in metallography, lithography and nanotechnology. The equipment of the center allows to implement not only educational programs for training operators, engineers and software developers for CAM machines, but also to retrain specialists for the companies in the region. The equipment of the Micro- and Macrostructures Research Laboratory allows to do production tasks in the field of nanotechnology, which is just starting to be introduced in the production companies of the region. Thus, the unique equipment of the laboratory makes advance training and re-training of the specialists for the military-industrial complex possible.

The Laboratory of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Measurements is equipped with the basic module with the multimedia interactive training complex "Electrical engineering and electronics (COM 3Lab)”. The laboratory is focused on training specialist in the design of printed circuit boards and integrated circuits that are essential in today's instrument production. These training facilities activate the learning process, increase its practical component and minimize the gap between the labor market and the education market.

CAD Laboratory and software-laboratory complex "Engineering, Computer Graphics and CAM machines» are equipped with the integrated complex ADEM and multimedia software for training operators of turning and milling CAM machines SymPlas. This system allows students to gain practical experience in the computer processing of paper droughts, flat modeling, volumetric solid modeling and visualization of processing.
