The results of the Informatics Olympiad

The Grand Hall of the Administration of the Smolensk region hosted the closing ceremony of the tenth regional Olympiad on Informatics among university students (cadets), organized by the Information Technology Department and Education, Science and Youth Department.

The Jubilee Olympiad winners were congratulated by Head of the Information Technology Department of the Smolensk region Andrey Rudometkin, Head of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus Office in Smolensk Nikolai Kutsko.

The 18 teams from universities of the Smolensk region, the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions of Belarus took part in the Olympiad. The jury consisting of the team leaders from educational institutions announced the results of the Olympiad.

The Olympiad had two rounds in the two categories: "Office and utility applications" and "Programming" in the individual championship in each category, the absolute individual championship (the sum of the two nominations), the team championship in each category and the absolute team championship (the best results of the three team members in the absolute individual championship). In the first round of the Olympiad the participants competed in the ability to use the standard Microsoft Office software. In the second round was dedicated to the development of programs in the advanced level programming languages (Delphi, Pascal, Basic, C).
