Another major enterprise starts operation in the region

Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy visited the Kardymovskiy district, where he inspected the results of the first construction phase of the production plant of a wide range of beverages.

So far, the investor from Novosibirsk has already spent more than half a billion rubles. The company is equipped with modern equipment to make products meeting the highest environmental standards. Now there are just start-up operations, but the company already employs about 100 people. The majority of the staff are residents of the Kardymovskiy district. Graduates of Smolensk technical universities are actively encouraged to join the company. The manufacturing of products will soon begin, which will create about 50 more jobs. The volume of production of different beverages will be about 15 million liters a month.

Moreover there is an in-house production of packaging. The products of the plant will be sold on the territory from Moscow to the Far East through its own branch and distribution network.

It is also important that taxes from the plant operations will go to the local and regional budgets. It was agreed with the investor at the construction stage. To do this a new entity - the plant "Varnitsa” - has been registered in the region.

While inspecting the plant Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy suggested that the company management should think about manufacturing products with a regional brand. Co-founder of the Company Alexander Smoyan supported the Governor’s suggestion, promising that this summer residents of the Smolensk region will be able to taste the kvass with the brand "1150 years of Smolensk". He also told the Head of the region that the second phase of the plant construction is to begin in the autumn. It is also intended to construct its own malt house. The demand of the malt house for barley will put into circulation up to 200 thousand hectares of arable land. Besides farmers of the Smolensk region will have guaranteed sales of products. About 500 million rubles are going to be allocated for this purpose.
