In Smolensk the best industrial companies were selected

In the Smolensk region the results of the rating competition among the industrial organizations for 2012 were announced. The companies employing more than 50 people competed in the six areas: engineering, metallurgical, instrument-making, chemical, wood processing and printing, as well as in the production of light industrial products and consumer goods.

Chaired by Deputy Governor Mikhail Pitkevich, the Evaluating Commission shortlisted 18 companies, which received the prizes in each area. The competition was held only among the organizations that agreement to participate in it.

To determine the winners objectively the calculation of the ratings was performed by the territorial authority of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Smolensk region. When determining the best industrial companies the members of the Commission also took into account the observance of the labor legislation, new jobs creation, social issues and other characteristics of the companies.

According to the announced results of the rating competition the winners are:

1. In the engineering and metallurgical area:
1st prize - OAO "Smolensk Aircraft Plant"
2nd prize - OAO "Vyazemskij Machine Building Plant"
3rd prize - OOO "Mobil K"

2. In the Instrument-making area:
1st prize – FGUP SPO "Analitpribor"
2nd prize - OAO " Safonovsky Plant of Meteorological Instruments"
3rd prize – OAO "Izmeritel"

3. In the light industry goods are:
1st prize - OOO "Vyazemskoye tannery LT"
2nd and 3rd prizes were not awarded as the nominees had losses on some key ranking parameters.

4. In the chemical area:
prizes were not awarded as the nominees had debts to the regional budget and losses on some key ranking parameters.

5. In the wood processing and printing area:
1st prize - OAO "Smolensk printing plant"
2nd and 3rd prizes were not awarded as the nominees had losses on some key ranking parameters.

6. In the consumer goods production area:
1st prize - OOO "Cometa plus"
2nd prize - OOO "Tellurium"
3rd prize - OOO "Gnezdovo concrete plant "
