The network of multifunctional centers in Smolensk region celebrates its fifth anniversary

The Grand Hall of the Administration building hosted the ceremony of awarding the most distinguished employees of multifunctional centers (MFC) of the region marking the fifth anniversary of the creation of MFC system.

In accordance with the order of the Governor of August 25, 2008 the first multifunctional center in Smolensk region was opened in Roslavl, and then the systematic creation of the regional system began.

Today in our region five multi-functional centers providing state and municipal services to the public operate in major towns, another MFC is about to be opened in Desnogorsk. During the first five years of hard work nearly 400,000 people received 500,000 services in the centers. In fact, with the opening of the Desnogorsk center 36 % of Smolensk region population will be able to receive state and municipal services on the “one window” principle, which is 16 % more than the 20 % target set by the order of the President of the Russian Federation of 07.05.2012 No 601.

So far the agreements with the Ministry of the Internal Affairs, Federal Taxation, Migration, Anti-monopoly services, Pension and Social Security funds, Rossreestr have been signed.

Head of the Information Technology Department of Smolensk region Andrey Rudometkin is sure that by the end of 2015 multifunctional centers will be opened in all the regional centers of Smolensk region. Thatwill allow to provide services to 91 % of the population.

According to this purpose, a project of the regional government program "Improving the quality of public and municipal services, including those on the basis of multi-functional centers " for the years 2014-2018, which involves preparation of premises for the MFC, purchasing equipment, installation of software, protection of personal data, training of the personnel and monitoring the provided services.

Congratulating the centers' employees on the first anniversary, Andrew Rudometkin stressed that the success of the entire system, which is designed not only to provide access to the portals of state and municipal services, but to really improve the level of computer literacy and legal and overcome the “digital gap", depends on their sensitivity to people, professional client service guarantee.

The most distinguished employees of Smolensk region MFC were awarded Certificates of Appreciation from the Information Technology Department of the Smolensk region.
