The Ice Hockey Club "Slavutich" is ready for the new season!

Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy visited the master-show of the hockey club "Slavutich". The popular Smolensk team brought together fans, partners, sponsors, and just people who care about Smolensk sports at the Ice Palace of the Smolensk State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of Smolensk region , to give them a colorful show.

This August, the team "Slavutich" has turned only three years old. And these three years are remarkable for great achievements. In the first season, the team successfully reached the playoff, and in the season 2011-12 became the Champion of the Russian Hockey League. Last season, the club became the first in the regular championship of the "West" Division and confidently reached the final in the playoff.

Speaking at the meeting, Alexey Ostrovskiy said: "Of course, there is ice hockey in the region today and it's one of the few things in our life that really is on the rise and flourishing. And all this, of course, is thanks to you first of all - to all those loyal hockey fans who are here today. Thank you for coming to support our favorite team, which we are proud of, our "Slavutich".

During the event, the players of “Slavutych” demonstrated their skills in a special relay and shootout, and together with the management of the club they talked to the fans.
