Smolensk region at the XV Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn"

Smolensk region traditionally participated in the 15th Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn", which was held by the Ministry of Agriculture at the All Russian Exhibition Centre from October, 9-12.

The achievements of our region's livestock breeding were presented by:
- Stud farm for breeding cattle of Sychevskaya breed "Vazuzssky type" - JSC "Smolenskoe" (breeding division),
- Stud farm for breeding cattle of brown Schwyz breed "Smolensky type" - SPK "breeding factory Dobrovolets"
- Breeding reproducer for breeding cattle of brown Schwyz breed - PSK "Novomikhailovsky".

Each farm presented two of the best cows with productivity at least 6,000 kg of milk per lactation and excellent conformation. The experts highly praised the presented animals (production characteristics and etc.), and the farms in general. According to the decision of the expert committee the stud farms of Smolensk region were awarded Gold Medals and Diplomas of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation for the high performance in the development of breeding and commercial farming.

According to Head of the Regional Department of Agriculture and Food Tatiana Rybchenko, who was in charge of the Smolensk farmers’ work at the exhibition, LLC "Smolenskoe" (the breeding division) was awarded a Gold Medal and Diploma of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation as the leading organization for the artificial insemination of farm animals.
