Smolensk region is celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Komsomol

Smolensk Drama Theater named after A.S. Griboedov hosted the ceremony dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Komsomol (All-Union Leninist Young Communist League). Acting as Governor Mikhail Pitkevich, the chairman of the regional Duma Igor Lyakhov came to congratulate Smolensk residents on the anniversary of the Komsomol.

In his greeting speech addressed to the representatives of the youth movement of different generations present in the hall, Mikhail Pitkevich said that the Young Communist League was a school of life for millions of young people. And, perhaps, the history knows no other examples of such a powerful youth organization as the Komsomol was. Speaking the present time language, the Komsomol was an effective system of training managers.

The total of almost 200 million citizens of the Soviet Union went through the school of the Young Communist League. And the fact that our country has a strong material and technical base is due to the Komsomol, and Smolensk regional Komsomol organization has always been among the best.

On this holiday creative teams of Smolensk presented their best concert performances.
