The Children Art and Poetry Festival "Golden Autumn 2013"

From 22nd to 25th of October "Goloevka" health resort (Roslavlsky district) hosted the 12th regional festival of children art and poetry "Golden Autumn 2013". It was attended by 140 talented and gifted young Smolensk people, including children with disabilities, from all parts of Smolensk region.

The festival is organized by the Social Development Department of Smolensk region. This event not only develops creative abilities in children with disabilities, but also the most favorable conditions for their integration into the environment of their healthy peers.

The festival, which has already become a tradition, is part of the regional target program "Social support and rehabilitation of people with disabilities" in 2009-2013 (subprogram "I will live independently").

On the opening day of the festival, each participant received memorable gifts. At the concert the young people got to know each other, played fun games and enjoyed the concert featuring bright musical performances presented by the members of the Children and Youth Palace.

During the festival singing, dancing, arts and crafts lessons were organized for the children. Under the guidance of experienced teachers of the Children and Youth Palace for four days young talent of Smolensk region improved their creative skills and presented their best performances at the closing ceremony of the festival held on October, 25 in the assembly hall of the health resort.
