The social well-being of the population was discussed at the CFD Council meeting in Yaroslavl

Acting Governor Mikhail Pitkevich took part in the meeting of the Central Federal District Council on "Social well-being of the population as a factor of sustainable development of the Russian Federation Subjects located in the Central Federal District", which was held in Yaroslavl under the chairmanship of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President the Alexander Beglov.

As the members of the Council noted, an important condition for the preservation of the human and professional capacity is to increase the social well-being and citizens’ satisfaction with their lives.

The studies conducted in August this year by the "Public Opinion" showed that the social well-being of the population does not depend on regional economies. The mood in the society is determined by the most active social groups, which with the development of communication networks is manifested particularly clearly. Alexander Beglov also highlighted some of the factors that influence the "well-being” of the population: migration policy, elections, the media and others.

After the Council finished its work the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President noted that in many regions of the Central Federal District some interesting projects are being developed. According to Alexander Beglov, to increase the level of social well-being in the subjects of the Russian Federation is necessary to accumulate the experience of implementing these projects.

Along with the meeting of the Central Federal District Council in Yaroslavl there was a closing ceremony of the first all-Russian forum "The future intellectual leaders of Russia", which brought together nearly 600 school students from all the regions of the country and 200 teachers. More than 60 projects and over 40 unique layouts were presented by the talented students at the exhibition.

Smolensk region was represented at the forum by three 10th year students of the Boarding School with in-depth study of specific subjects named after Kirill and Mefody - Elena Chernenkova, Anastasia Ivanova and Ilya Pripechenkov.
