Five Smolensk residents receive grants for innovative projects

Deputy Governor Igor Skobelev participated in the regional conference "Innovative projects of young scientists of Smolensk region" held on the basis of the Smolensk Commerce and Industry Chamber.

For the first time in Smolensk region in the framework of the Forum there was held a qualifying stage of the "UMNIK" program (Fund for Assistance to Small Enterprises in Science and Technology sector) aimed at supporting young scientists aged 18-28, seeking self-realization through innovations. The expert council, chaired by Curator of the Central and North-Western Federal Districts Anton Sorokin, examined 12 projects in such areas as information technology, medicine, new appliances and hardware systems, and biotechnology.

After the qualifying stage there were five best projects selected:

"Hardware-software complex for providing information security of automated information-management real-time systems and information resources reliability on the basis of hard storage device" (speaker A.V. Voropaev);

"Developing innovative power circuits of rectifiers for wind turbines" (speaker I.A. Kruglikov);

"Robot - presenter ARP- 1" (speaker K.O. Kiselev);

"The contactless charger system for unmanned flying vehicle" (speaker M.V. Polyakov);

"Emulator of the industrial drive TED-03SD» (speaker E.S. Churanov).

The winning projects will receive annually for 2 years the financial support from the Fund for Assistance to Small Enterprises in Science and Technology sector in the amount of 200 thousand rubles.
