The Day of Smolensk region in the Olympic Park

The exhibition of the regions of the Russian federal districts is very popular with the guests and participants of the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Within the framework of the exhibition of the Central Federal District in the Olympic Park today there was the presentation of the investment, cultural and sports potential of Smolensk region.

The folk group "Slavyane" and the Vice-Governor Nikolay Kuznetsov welcomed numerous visitors. On behalf of the Head of the region Alexey Ostrovskiy, he invited guests to get acquainted with the amazing culture and history of Smolensk region.

The craftsmen displayed clay toys, linen products, Smolensk souvenirs at the presentation of Smolensk region. The Media-Center of the exhibition of the regions hosted the presentation of the Internet resources of the tourist attractions of the region. Also the representatives of the regional administration presented to the audience the economic and investment potential of the region, its cultural heritage, the development of sports and sports achievements of their countrymen, as well as upcoming events in the life of Smolensk region in the Year of Culture.

At the end of the presentation of Smolensk region the folk group "Slavyane" gave a performance at the grand open-air stage of the exhibition of the regions.
