The prospects of information technology, energy and the economy development were discussed in Smolensk

A major scientific forum for young researchers, which is organized with the support of the regional Administration, started its work in Smolensk. Deputy Governor Olga Okuneva addressed the undergraduate and graduate students participating in the XI International Scientific and Technical Conference "Information Technology, Energy and Economy" with the wishes of success and good luck in their work.

Sergei Obraztsov, who is the coordinator of the "Umnik" program of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Enterprises in the Science and Technology sphere of Smolensk region, also welcomed the young researchers. He thanked the Head of the region Alexey Ostrovskiy for the special attention of the regional Administration to this sphere, and for the support that the regional authorities provide to the Foundation.

This year, 269 works of the young scientists from Russia and Belarus were selected to be presented at the Forum in seven sections. The universities from Smolensk, Moscow, Tver, Mogilev, Bryansk, Karachev, Perm presented the results of their scientific research.

The undergraduate and graduate students’ works were presented in the following sections:

1. "Electrical Power and Electrical Engineering" - 19 works;

2. "Heat Power and Power Saving" - 9 works;

3. "Mathematical Modeling and Technical Systems and Processes Improvement" - 22 works;

4. "Microelectronics and Optical Engineering" - 44 works;

5. "Information Technology in Management and Production" - 45 works;

6. " Economics and Management" - 102 works;

7. "Scientific research in the Sphere of Physical Culture, Sport, Social Sciences and Linguistics" - 12 works.
