Alexey Ostrovskiy visited "Dorogobuzh" plant

Governor Alexey Ostrovskiy made a working trip to Dorogobuzh district. The first "nodal point" of the Governor’s visit was the city-forming company "Dorogobuzh", which is going to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015.

Alexey Ostrovskiy visited the plant and held a working meeting with the management of the "Dorogobuzh" plant – its CEO, Chairman of the Managing Board Vladimir Kunitsky and Managing Director, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Viktor Bocherikov. The plant's management looks upon the situation with the profitability of the company with reserved optimism. Vladimir Kunitsky and Victor Bocherikov drew Alexey Ostrovskiy’s attention to the main competitive advantages of the plant - good logistics and efficient production, as well as to the risk factor for the production cycle – a possible increase in raw material costs.

Then the Head of the region met with the employees of the plant. At the end of the meeting Alexey Ostrovskiy voiced his decision to appoint the Managing Director of the "Dorogobuzh" plant Victor Bocherikov the Advisor of the Governor on industry.

After the meeting with the company's employees, Alexey Ostrovskiy toured the production shops. The Head of the region visited the finished products warehouse, the healthcare center of the "Dorogobuzh" plant, and the promising new facility for producing soft containers (big bags) at the factory premises. The aim of the project is to provide the "Dorogobuzh" plant with modern and popular both in domestic and foreign markets packaging - specialized soft containers. The production capacity is 1.6 million items per year.

The installed capacity of ammonia production is about 500,000 tons per year, of ammonium nitrate production is about 900,000 tons per year, of compound fertilizer (NPK) is about 550,000 tons per year.
