Alexey Ostrovskiy visited the promising companies of the Gagarin district

During the working visit to the Gagarin district Alexey Ostrovskiy visited a number of companies. One of the most promising agro-industrial sites not only within the municipality and the region, but also within Russia is a rabbit farm LLC "KROL and K" which is under construction now.

In April, 2013 LLC "KROL and K" began to implement an investment project "Establishment of a rabbit farm for 3,249 rabbit dams". The investment volume is 350 million rubles. The farm will produce 250 tons of rabbit meat per year. The construction deadline is the 3rd quarter of 2014. As a result of the project 40 new jobs will be created.

The project includes the construction of three rabbitries, a reproduction farm, a fodder plant, an office building, a specialized workshop. Processing, laboratory, packaging and refrigerating equipment has been purchased. Currently rabbit dams are in the rabbitries, and the feed mill is being constructed.

In February, 2014 the project was discussed at the meeting of the Commission on investment policy at Smolensk region Administration. The meeting discussed the investment projects of the regional enterprises, applying for having from January 1, 2014 the status of approved investment project of Smolensk region and receiving the state support in the form of tax benefits. The amount of state support in the form of profit and property tax benefits amounts to more than 10 million rubles.

During the meeting with Alexey Ostrovskiy the managers of the company Vladimir Brezhnev and Oleg Papushin pointed out that from the very beginning of the project of constructing a modern rabbit farm, the paramount task was to create a single technological chain from the fodder production to a network of specialized shops. High quality grain and goat's rue is grown on their own lands for processing it into high-protein grass meal. The fields are cultivated with the high-tech equipment and with the use of advanced agricultural technology of land and crop cultivation. The second "part" of the technological chain is its own feed plant producing high-quality balanced complete fodder for rabbits in the granular form. This allows to get "clean" meat without any additives.

It is very important that rabbits are kept in large, well-lit, clean rooms with the controlled microclimate and automated cleaning.

The delivery of meat and ready-to-cook products to the consumers will be done by their own vehicles equipped with refrigeration units providing strict temperature regime. Thus, the company's management intends to use all the resources available for the future customers to have dishes prepared from cooled diet, ecologically clean rabbit meat grown in their native land.

Then, Alexey Ostrovskiy visited LLC "Novye gazony" operating on the territory of Tokarevskoe rural settlement since 2007. The company grows turf for landscape and ornamental plants.

The company owns 200 acres of land, including 170 hectares for growing turf and 30 hectares for ornamental plants nursery. 17 tractors and 8 units of specialized equipment are used to cultivate the land, to take care of and to cut the lawns. The company employs 44 people.

The company's products are sold in many regions of Russia. The main buyers of turf are the Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Tolyatti, Voronezh.

It is remarkable that the products of the company were in demand while preparing Sochi for the Olympics.
