The Agapov family from Smolensk region got the first prize at the large families’ festival "From Sporty Family to Olympic victory"

Today in Sochi the festival "From Sporty Family to Olympic victory", dedicated to the International Children's Day, was held. The teams of nine large families from different regions of Russia took part in it. All the participants came to the capital of the Winter Olympic Games 2014 to attend the "Parental Glory" award ceremony. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin greeted the best families of the country and wished them good health and success in all endeavors.

Smolensk region was represented the Agapov family: Irina Nikolaevna and Vladimir Mikhailovich with their sixteen children. The ten elder children graduated from universities and vocational schools and now live and work in the home region. Irina Nikolaevna and Vladimir Mikhailovich already have thirteen grandchildren. The representatives of Smolensk region proved to be the best in the competition.

The large families received the state awards and diplomas to the winners and participants of the festival from the hands of President Vladimir Putin.
